This year's edition proved that, despite the lack of clear regulations from the central government on self-consumption, installation and engineering companies have stabilised their business. The market for photovoltaic systems as a means for making savings without injection to the grid is also gaining ground thanks to the support of several autonomous regions, as well as provincial authorities who have seen this sector as a clear way to strengthen economic activity, competitiveness and the environmentally-friendly nature of their companies.
Each day of the trade fair was very well attended by professionals, especially the presentations given at the CIRCUTOR stand on self-consumption with demand management and the storage of surplus energy in batteries.
The concept of "Positive Energy Buildings", which served as the theme of the stand, implies a paradigm shift in terms of how new buildings should react to the implementation of the European Directive on the Energy Performance of Buildings. They must go from being passive consumers to taking a proactive role in reducing consumption, making use of local energy resources and preparing for the arrival of electric vehicles.
